This is an illustration I have done for Black Petal Magazine. The story is about a guy from the future who somehow goes to the past to visit an ancient civilization to learn their culture. At the end of the story they allow him to go through a special ritual reserved for the men of their tribe. They basically graft your skin and veins to a special tree so that you may feel the suffering the tree feels. This guy basically decides to stay there forever. So here you have it…a guy…grafted to a tree
I hope the writer enjoys it Oh yeah…all you people as well
I can't stop looking at this one. Kind of neo-Druidic and yet...timeless. Reminds me of the traditional renderings of martyrs, but you have made this image entirely your own. Well done.
Amazing. Kind of neo-Druidic and yet...timeless. Reminiscent of the way martyrs have been traditionally rendered. This is one of those drawings you DON"T forget.
