Egyptian Princess Tutorial

Description

I thought I would share a little bit about how I created many of these new pieces I have been doing. it gives you an idea about how much work is involved. I admit the steps are not as detailed as they could be. Honestly it would require a text book to explain it all. If you REALLY are interested in trying this, here's what you'll need:

Acrylic Paints (I recommend Liquitex paint or Goldens.)
An Air Brush (I recommend IWATA HP (Eclipse) series. If not, then any DUAL ACTION airbrush.)
An Air Compressor (I recommend any compressor that has a tank. This is because if it has a tank it can supply more continuous pressure. Otherwise the system has to constantly pump air and cannot maintain a high PSI.)
Fixitive Spray
Good brushes (I recommend Raphael Series 8404)
Illustration Board (Crescent Cold Press 16 or Strathmore Series 500)
Pencils (any pencils actually.)
A roll of Frisket
An Exacto Knife
An electric Eraser (if you can find the grey erasers for erasing ball-point ink...those are the best. However, they are VERY hard to find...so...if you find some...note me! :) )

You will need PATIENCE!!!! Oh yes my brother and sisters! Patience is key or you will probably throw the airbrush across the room out of rage...but...you will not remember that it's attached with an air hose so it will come back and smack you in the face...or worse it will activate and you'll have the PSI up to past 60 which will penetrate through your skin and give you an air embolism...and you'll die! O_O. We don't want that. So Patience. Seriously, yo. Which reminds me...generally speaking keep your PSI between 28 - 35. This is for safety sake at the moment. Anything over 60 PSI can actually kill you if you press it against your skin and activate the brush. A whole series of tutorials can be written on how to change your PSI to adapt to the color you are using. Yes, every pigment is different. Some go through the airbrush slower than molasses (like Black) or quick as a flash (like Yellow.)

If you have questions I will do my best to accommodate them.
