Hrmm. Devolution would imply a sense of direction, as well as counter-direction (ie, opposition to evolution)...which I think is somewhat inaccurate. Case in point: There is no such thing as deceleration, merely a lack or decrease in acceleration. In the case of man, it's a continual point of evolution...just not in a pleasant or useful fashion. (Personally, I don't think we're really evolving, in the truest sense...more like viral mutation. One can only hope that we too someday will mutate to a non-lethal state.)

And Nietzsche was, like many so-called existentialists/philosophers/etc...merely touting his own personal peccadilloes under the thin guise of wisdom, as did/do many.

But that's just my two yen.

Well, yea, it's difficult to comprehand a lot of information in that book...But you slowly understand them, by just plainly looking at life and it's devolusion these days. Have you read Friedrich Nietzsche's "Also Sprach Zarathustra"? Also a huge one....Check it out if you havent already..
